Artists and Art Centres

The art and traditions of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal peoples are amongst the oldest and richest in human history. For generations, the ancient knowledge, stories, practices and beliefs of our ancestors have been passed down orally and kept alive through language, ceremonies, song, dance, art and craft.

We are proud to support over 100 artists, including the region’s three art centres to display and sell their work through our Gallery Shop and two exhibition spaces.

The Project enabled Gab Titui to sell professional quality art materials at a subsidised rate through Gab Titui's Gallery Shop to Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal artists in the region.
